Moore Love for Elijah Moore
Dec 25th
A good friend of ours and local Texas skateboarder Elijah Moore was hospitalized this past September. Although he has made a miraculous recovery and was released, he is still dealing with the problems from that day.

On September the 9th of 2009, Elijah and Joy Moore were staying with close friends, Jamie and Sunny McGann, in Winchester Virginia. That morning Elijah woke up with severe stomach pain. By four A.M they rushed him to the emergency room, at Winchester Medical Center. There they discovered that he had Pancreatitis. The Pancreatitis caused severe infection in his abdomen resulting in Renal Failure. He was rushed to Intensive Care and induced Elijah into a coma. The doctors said that Elijah was not looking good and if he survived he would be in the hospital for at the very least 3 months. Elijah remained in the medically induced coma for almost 2 weeks as doctors worked to stabilize him. When they brought him out of the coma, Elijah shocked all of the medical staff with his strong will and rapid recovery. On September the 22nd Elijah woke up from his coma and started communicating with Joy and his mother. On October the 1st Elijah was released from the hospital, just 3 weeks from when he was rushed to the hospital, shattering the time frame the doctors predicted! Due to the fact Elijah’s kidneys have not started back up again, he has dialysis 3 times a week. The road before Elijah and Joy is a long one, and they are not in the clear yet.
